If you happen to live in Denver and were up yesterday for the 6:00 Morning News on CBS 4, you may have seen our very own eBagger Brad talking about holiday travel packing tips. Despite the early hour, Brad enthusiastically showcased some of eBags’ best selling bags including our packing cubes which are perfect for staying organized while traveling.
If you don’t live in Denver, or you’re like the rest of us and were asleep, you can watch it again in this video.

Last night I watched a show on CNBC about Coca Cola called Coca-Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing. It was truly a fascinating look at the Coke brand. When they talked about how people associate great memories with Coke and really connect with the brand beyond the soda, it made me think of all the Coca Cola brand products out there. From glasses to vintage posters to polar bear stuffed animals holding Coke bottles (I have one of those), if you know someone who loves Coke, it’s not hard to find them gifts.
That got me thinking about the Coca Cola bags on eBags. You may know Ashley M for their Cadillac handbags or the clock bags I featured on the blog recently, but they also have a line of Coke handbags, totes, and messenger bags that make great gifts for Coca Cola lovers and collectors. And since all are under $50, they also make affordable gifts for the holidays. Check out some of these Coke bags below.
It’s snowing today here in Denver. It’s not our first snow. Nope, we got dumped on a few weeks back. But it’s starting to look like we’ll get plenty of the white stuff this season which is great for our local economy (ski tourism).
The snow got me thinking about bags one would use in cold weather. Obviously, ski bags and snowboard bags are the most popular category at this time of year. eBags carries a huge selection of ski & snowboard bags including boot bags and wheeled bags from top brands like Dakine, Burton, High Sierra, The North Face, and Swix. But if you’re an avid skiier or snowboarder, you might also find yourself in need of a winter hydration pack. Designed to keep water from freezing in cold temperatures, these backpacks are perfect for keeping you hydrated on the slopes or in the backcountry. Many winter hydration packs also carry skis or boards and other accessories.
There are other winter bags out there for uses other than skiing and snowboarding. For those who strap on skates for either hockey or ice skating, the Transpack ICE line of backpacks is perfect. These ice skate bags allow you transport your skates and gear to the rink in comfort and style. There’s a large, water resistant central compartment for accessories, clothes, wallet, and other items you want to stay dry while gromments let air in and water out to dry out the compartments that do get wet. Customers rave about how this pack is also perfect for their children’s figure skating gear.
There is still another type of winter bag you can find on eBags and it isn’t for skiing, snowboarding, or skating. In fact, this one isn’t sports related at all. Have you ever found yourself lugging wood into your house or cabin for that roaring fire, wishing there was an easier way that didn’t involve spiders crawling up your arm? Well, there is. Meet the Filson Log Carrier. This carrier is made from rugged 100% cotton twill that is 2 ply by 3 ply and has been paraffin treated for maximum water repellency. The handles are vegetable tanned genuine bridle leather that are sewn and riveted to the fabric body for greater strength. Available in tan and green, this is the truly convenient and stylish way to carry logs.
Football season is in full swing and there’s nothing like tailgating to make the game a true experience. If you plan to stake your claim on some prime parking lot real estate and root for your favorite team, you’ll be needing tailgating supplies like team jersey, cooler, radio, chairs, and grill.
Did you know that eBags carries many of these supplies? Yep, we sure do. You can find chairs, bbq sets, coolers, licensed NFL sports fan gear, and more from brands like Kelty, Picnic Plus, Littlearth, and Picnic Time. Check out our tailgating supplies categories below:
But with certain handbag types, like black leather handbags, you don’t have to worry about this. Black leather handbags continue to be highly sought after and carried by many women because they are so timeless and go with just about any outfit and every color.
One black bag that continues to be a best-seller on eBags is The Sak Silverlake Convertible Satchel. This classic satchel is actually two bags in one. Just slide the shoulder strap out of the bottom loops and connect it again over the top and you’ve got yourself a hobo. Perfect for everyday, this bag is a great value and will last you for a long time.
A great choice in a designer black leather tote is the Kate Spade Roland Park Cecilia. It’s the elegant way to carry all your essentials including files and magazines. Comes with a detachable cross-body strap so you can wear it as a shoulder bag or messenger and 14-karat light gold plated hardware. A truly fashion-forward carryall.
Looking for a black leather handbag that’s more affordable? Check out the Aurielle-Carryland Bordeaux Hobo. At just under $50, this hobo is stylish and affordable. It features silver hardware, contrast stitching, and multiple interior and exterior pockets.
With black leather handbags you can can feel confident making the investment knowing that the bags will last you through many seasons. There’s certainly nothing wrong with purchasing that latest rocker bag that catches your eye (afterall, if it caught your eye, it’ll catch many others too). But if you’re looking for an everyday bag that you won’t need to replace for a while, black leather handbags are where you should start.
Have you ever found yourself at the baggage claim carousel, staring at the sea of black suitcases, wondering which one is yours? You bend down and move several bags to read the luggage tag only to find out it doesn’t belong to you. While many travelers these days prefer to carry on, this is still an all too common scenario. Afterall, it’s nearly impossible to use only carry-on luggage when you go on long vacations, ski trips, and family getaways.
Want to avoid this frustrating situation? Here are some ways you can help identify your luggage faster and easier the next time you check it.
Use colorful luggage. One of the easiest ways to identify your luggage at baggage claim is if it isn’t black. Black is one of the most common luggage colors. Even blue and gray these days are becoming just as common so avoid these as well. Consider something in green, orange or pink or, even better, take a look at what’s available in fashion luggage and designer luggage for something that truly stands out.
Attach different luggage tags. If you already have luggage in a common color and don’t want to buy a new set, then the next best thing to help you spot your luggage quickly is to use luggage tags. Luggage tags, as you know, are important for identifying luggage because of the information they contain. However, tags can also help you find your luggage if they are unique in some way - colorful, different shaped, patterned, etc. If your suitcase came with tags, chances are they match which means the tags will be just as difficult to notice as your luggage. The good news is that luggage tags are inexpensive, so pick yourself up a set that stand out.
Luggage handle wraps are also useful. Often luggage on the carousel ends up upside down or in an odd angle where one cannot see the luggage tags. Sure you can turn the bags around, but you can also save yourself the hassle by using a luggage handle wrap. Luggage handle wraps serve a dual purpose - they can help make gripping the luggage handle a little more comfortable and they can help you find your luggage. Luggage handle wraps are also relatively inexpensive so if you’re not looking to replace your luggage right away, consider picking up one of these handy accessories.
Luggage locators are the high tech solution. The most certain way to find your luggage, even up to 60 feet away, is with a luggage locator like the ETA Luggage Locator. A small electronic receiver attaches to your suitcase while you hold a remote. The remote activates a series of beeps and flashes that show you where your luggage is. A luggage locator is also great for letting you know your luggage arrived at its destination before you even see it (a relief for those of us who have had our luggage lost in the past).
Have your own way of finding your luggage quickly? We’d love to hear about it. Comment on this post with your ideas.
