eBags is excited to introduce Revolar, a Colorado-based company whose passion is to keep you and your loved ones safe in a smart, modern way. Revolar is the next innovation in wearables and safety. Some wearables track your sleep, others track your steps, however, Revolar’s mission is simply to help keep you safe.
What it is: A Wearable Safety Device
Why you need it: If you ever feel unsafe or are in a situation where you need help (medical emergency, assault, accident), simply press your Revolar, and a text alert with your live GPS location will be sent to your five preselected contacts via Revolar’s smartphone app. Revolar is less than two inches, waterproof, has up to a year of battery life, and can be discreetly clipped to clothing, a bag, or a keychain.
This is definitely one of those products that is better to have and not need than to need and not have. For students going off to school, parents who live alone, travelers in new places, loved ones with medical conditions, or professionals like real estate agents staying safe on the job, we recommend this product for you and anyone you love who wants to feel personal safety with the touch of a button.
How it works: Revolar is a Bluetooth device that works by connecting to an app on qualifying iOS or Android devices. A rapid double-press sends a Yellow Alert, indicating that you’re uncomfortable, feel threatened, or need to get in touch with your contacts. A rapid triple-press sends a Red Alert, indicating that you need professional help. In the app, you can customize which of your contacts get Yellow or Red alerts, and which get both.
Whenever you trigger an alert, the app sends a text message and/or email to your contacts with an active GPS link that opens a map showing your most recent address. The map will also update in real time to show your movements.

Krista’s passion for exploration and world travel was ignited in college when she packed her suitcase and moved to Sweden to study International Business for a year. She hopped on a train or plane every weekend from her home in Uppsala and traveled throughout Europe, making new friends and new memories along the way. Soon after her college career ended, she felt the tug of wanderlust again, and this time went even further…to live on the beach down under in a little place called Australia! Krista’s traveling habit started stacking up frequent flyer miles and she didn’t have a way to organize or utilize all of the points she was earning. So she decided to take matters into her own hands and founded UsingMiles , a company that would help frequent flyers and road warriors become mile moguls. Fast forward to today and you will find Krista engaging with travelers from all over the world to help them find the perfect bag. And of course, planning her next trip.
