Who: Bike to Work Day is an annual event organized by, Way to Go that encourages people to try different ways of commuting. If you’ve never commuted to work by bike before, it’s a perfect time to try! Everyone is encouraged to participate in the event and is an event that is open to all ages.
What: Bike to Work Day last year brought in more than 24,000 commuters throughout the Denver Metro area and is expected to bring in even more participants this year! Thousands of people come together for this hot, summer tradition for reasons varying from helping Colorado, “Go-Green”, to winning bragging rights for highest number of participants for their division. EBags won our division last year and are aiming to do it again, so competitors, watch out!
When:If this is the first time hearing about it, get a ride group together ASAP! Bike to Work Day is this Wednesday, June 26th! If you need to register for the you can still sign up through your employer or through the Bike To Work Organization
Where: Bike to Work day is a state-wide event! This means you will most likely see other bikers commuting to work on this day. If biking to work is not an option for you, it is nice to be courteous and cautious of all bikers and/or alternative transportation vehicles, especially during the busiest rush hours. A nice feature of Bike to Work Day are the Breakfast and Bike home stations that are strategically located close to your home and on the way to your commute.
