Many of you ladies are getting ready to be wined and dined with Valentine’s Day down to a week away. You’ve thought about what outfit, the shoes to go with it, and the perfect bag to match, but what about what’s inside your bag?! We’ve put together a list of date night must haves to prepare you for your special night!
There are certain make-up essentials you don’t want to forgot on a date. Lip gloss and a foundation touch-up are two must haves to keep in your bag. Storing them in a cosmetic bag like this Baggallini Zip Zip Bagg keeps accidental spills from ruining the lining of your handbag. Dental floss is another must have. As much as you can try to avoid it, food will cross paths with your teeth, and it’s best to be prepared. You can’t see without a mirror, so make sure to carry a compact mirror like this Budd Leather Swarovski Crystal Round Mirror in case there isn’t one around. For after dinner dates, mints are great. Gum can be distracting for your date, and it can be a while before you realize you are still chewing it. A date isn’t the best time to break in new high heels, but if you are dying to wear them, include a stash of band aids for blisters that might pop up. And in the likelihood your date turns to you to foot half the bill, yes it can happen, be prepared with cash on hand. Finally, make a statement with your handbag. Whether you are going with a bright color or a classic bag like the Kate Spade New York Post Madison, have fun with what you are carrying!

Just for our fans – Exclusive Black Friday Sneak Peek!

In the United States alone, over 380 billion plastic bags are used each year. Only 1-2% of those bags are recycled. The danger to the environment is far-reaching: the quality of our soil, marine life, and even our food chain can be degraded by the use of plastic bags. Despite these facts, there is uplifting news. Many grocery retailers are providing incentives to bring your own reusable bags. Many stores offer 5 cents off for every bag you bring, others charge you 5 cents for every plastic grocery bag you use. To be both cost effective and environmentally-friendly, I opt for reusable shopping totes. eBags has many to offer, and you can start by looking at our selection of all plastic bag alternatives.
Among this selection, I’ll point out a few of my favorites. First is this reusable tote from Earth Axxessories (shown right). I love the straw texture and the “fantastic not plastic” message. The eBags eTote (shown left) is a great shoppigng companion and comes in sets of three. Another tote I love is the Eagle Creek Packable Shopper Tote. There is also a baggallini collection of shopping totes that come in multiple sizes. Check out the sizes and colors here. Reusable shopping bags are a great way to help the environment, and they are so easy to use. Please pick up a few and do your part to help the environment!

It is that time of year again. Time to pack up some stuff and head out to visit the family. Whether you travel for an hour in the car or days in planes, trains and automobiles, most of us will do some traveling in the next 6 weeks. The funny thing is that my favorite travel accessory is not the main bag I use (or one of the many “secondary bags” that seem to creep into the pile). Nope, the best thing that I ever did for myself was purchase a Wallet Bagg from Baggallini. It is light-weight, flat and has just enough room to fit the credit cards, money and lipstick that I need, plus my iPhone, and camera. You can wear it cross-body or slide it into just about any other bag that you have already packed to capacity. Did I mention that it is thin? It comes in 9 colors so that you can choose a basic color, or one a little more vibrant, like Tomato (red). If you are not traveling this year, this would make a great present for someone who traveled to see you. It will certainly make their return trip easier.
