Bags to Keep You Ready to Hit the Slopes

For those of you who are avid skiers and boarders, I don’t think I need to remind you that the snow is about to hit the slopes–especially after giant reminders coming from events like Powder Daze, Ski-Rex, and SniaGrab. So hopefully you’ve grabbed your passes and you’re rearing to go this season!

One of the best ways to pick-up and hit the slopes is to have all of your gear in one bag. That way you can grab it, haul it into the car (or plane), and take-off. Here are some nifty bags that can make your snowboarding/skiing season all the more enjoyable.
Transpack TRV Boot and Gear Bag in Red
Transpack TRV Boot & Gear Bag:
This bag is perfect for those of you who are tired of finding a place to store your boots after boarding or skiing. The TRV bag has a separate compartment for your boots with drainage grommets to get rid of any left-over water. It also carries your helmet and other gear. There’s a mesh and fleece compartment for your goggles too. The Transpack TRV is one of the top-rated boot and gear bags on eBags! So if you’re looking for a new way to haul around your gear, check it out!
DC Tamo Wheely Snowboard Bag in Record
DC Tamo Wheely Snowboard Bag: Boarders, take a look! This is one of the most decked out snowboard bags you’ll ever see! The DC Tamo Wheely Bag has compartments for everything that you’ll need for your trip to the slopes. This bag comes with interior shoe and gear pockets, a tool pocket, outer gear pocket, a split main compartment, and a board only sleeve in the top compartment. If you’re the kind of person who likes to keep all of their stuff in one place, this is the way to do it. The bag also comes with skate wheels for a smooth transition. It would be a good bag to use if you plan on trekking through the airport before       you get to hit the slopes.

Sportube Series 3 Snowboard/Multi-Ski Case: Flyers! Don’t despair! The Sportube is here! I know, I know, not Sportube Series 3 Snowboard/Multi-Ski Caseall of us are lucky to have the mountains in our backyard, so to speak. But no worries. There’s still a way for you to haul your snow-gear through the airport, onto the plane, and up to the slopes all in one piece. The Sportube is a high density polyethylene shell that protects one or two snowboards with bindings and boots, or multiple skis with bindings. The sportube can fit any length of equipment and is padded at both ends to protect your gear. It’s also approved to be used with a TSA lock. With this durable, yet light-weight case, you won’t have to worry about your gear getting knocked around. Once you’re on the plane you can sit back, enjoy your peanuts, and fantasize about your soon to be vacation on the slopes.

Tips for Packing Your SnowBoard/Ski Bag:

1. If you have a snowboard bag with no boot-pockets, you can store your boots lying flat on either end of your board when they’re dry. To avoid scratching the board, you can always use any extra clothes or plastic bags you’ve brought with you as dividers.

2. Helmets can also fit in between the bindings on your snowboard. Pack some clothes underneath it to avoid damage.

3. If you’re going a long-ways for for boarding or skiing, it’s always best to have a bag that can safely fit all of your gear. After all, you don’t want to find any damage on your equipment before you’ve even hit the slopes.

4. Try to find a designated pocket for your goggles that will keep them in good shape. If you don’t have one, you can always store your goggles on the inside of your helmet. Just wrap a scarf or extra shirt around them to make sure they stay inside.

5. Pack light! You don’t want to haul TOO much extra stuff around. It’s always best to grab what you need right before you hit the slopes. That way you can leave your bag in the car or in your room without worrying about it disappearing.

eBags’ Miscellaneous: Ducti Wallets & Bags

ducti Banner
Every generation has its fad, but it seems that fads surrounding the use of duct tape have lasted long past their first days. From duct tape cars to duct tape prom outfits, duct tape has made its place into our lives as one of the many necessary household components.

And it just so happens that you can find “the home of the original duct tape wallet” at eBags under the Colorado brand of Ducti. With an interesting beginning, Ducti has grown into the source for duct tape wallets. These authentic wallets are durable and carry with them a rugged urban appeal that attracts a wide variety of people.

Ducti Ginormous Wallet

One of my favorite Ducti products is the Ducti Ginormous Wallet. The wallet is huge, just in case you could’t tell from the name. And it’s perfect for those of us who’d rather haul around a wallet than a bag for our daily needs.

Ducti Chapparal Purse

Ducti has also branched out into women’s products with their duct tape encouraged bags and women’s wallets. One of their most notable women’s designs would be the Chapparal Purse, made out of 100% super duct tape. Doesn’t that sound . . . super?

And if you’re not the duct tape kind of gal . . . or guy, Ducti also makes Ducti Utility Messenger Baghybrid wallets and bags. (My favorite being the Ducti Utility Messenger Bag.)

So if you’re looking for something unique, something that will raise eyes, and something that will hold up for life (thanks to Ducti’s confidence in their product durability and lifetime warranty), check out some Ducti products. You’re sure to be astonished.

eBags’ Miscellaneous: The Aquapac

Digging through the thousands of bags on eBay can be a daunting task. Which means that some of the coolest stuff can be left unseen, even for an intern like myself.

One of my latest discoveries involves a brand called Aquapac. And what a very helpful brand it is!

My personal hobbies involve rafting and usually, I just find myself drifting over the lake, fishing pole in hand until the ring of my cellphone brings me back to urban life. Now, I’m a fairly clumsy individual. So even if I don’t have my cellphone attached to my head, I have to worry about it somehow finding it’s way overboard and into the mouth of some hungry catfish.

Even if I am able to retrieve my cell phone, I know for a fact that it doesn’t come with a waterproof feature. Which leaves me in the deep end of the pool–so to speak.

Until Aquapac is there to save the day. Aquapac designs bags that are 100% waterproof. Their professional users include the US Coast Guard, the Royal Navy, the US Navy, the USDA Forest Service, and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. If you’re a big fisher, love boating, find that you continuously get caught in the rain, or are just constantly in the fear of damaging that brand new iPhone, look into Aquapac. They have Aquapac bags of all different kinds and sizes.
