I was out at lunch driving back to the office when I got behind a truck that had “Cowgirl Up” written across the tailgate. It made me think of my mom (who is a cowgirl) and all the western handbags she’s had her eye on at eBags. I may end up getting her one of those bags for Christmas and that got me wondering if there are other western items we sell that would make great cowgirl gifts. After a few searches on the site for things like “western handbags”, “horse”, “cowgirl” and “equestrian”, I found quite a few items that you might find surprising. How about a cowgirl diva purse hanger? Or a western handbag? Well, below are these and a few other products we sell that make wonderful holiday cowgirl gifts.
Other Cowgirl Gift Ideas:
There are bags for just about every style. Are you a rocker chick? There’s a bag for you. Love planet Earth? There’s a bag for you. Got dry eyes? There’s a Visine for….oops. Well, if your sense of style involves Stetsons, Wranglers, and boots, then you’ll love western handbags. However, even if you find yourself on Rodeo Drive more often than the rodeo, one look at a tooled leather shoulder bag or the Lou-ella Petticoats and Pistols collection might still get you crooning “Don’t Tell My Heart…My Achy Breaky Heart…I Can’t Have That Bag.”
So what makes a handbag western? There are some obvious examples such as the Debbie Rott Dolly which has a saddle on top. Then there are bags with the word “western” in their name such as the Susan Nichole Sculpted Western Hobo. Really, what makes a western bag is hard to pinpoint, but includes materials, patterns, and shapes that remind one of boots, saddles, bridles, and cowboys – tooled leather, braided handles, and pockets and flaps that resemble saddle bags.
So whether you truly live on a ranch or just wish you did, pick yourself up one of these bags and celebrate your western style.
