The Diaper Bag Diaries – Endless Adventures

July Diaper Bag Diaries Janine Gelsinger eBags

Summer equals endless adventures. If your plans include exploring the country, journeying oversees, or discovering wonders in your own back yard, at least you can look the part. We took a cue from our favorite adventurer, Indiana Jones, and put together a diaper bag full of weathered leather goods, snakes, bugs, and treasure-map inspired kiddie fun. This OiOi Leather Satchel holds all your gear, and, bonus: is rugged enough for Dad to carry too.

Clockwise from Top Left…

  1. Carved Wood Phone Case for iPhone 4/4S
Forget Google Maps. Go old-school cartographer chic with this wood carved global map iphone case.
  2. Boon Water Bugs, Green
This set of water toys has surprising creative versatility. Is it a net? A magnifying glass? A hoop to jump through? An underwater tunnel? Tuck it in your diaper bag for fun on land and see alike.
  3. San Diego Hat Fedora
Channel Indy’s style with a cool fedora. Keep the sun out of your eyes, and play peek-a-boo from under the brim with your baby too.
  4. Learning Resources 12-Inch Inflatable Globe
Inflatable toys are perfect diaper bag companions. Save the space when the ball is flat, capture attention while you magically blow it up, then bounce it, toss it, roll it for tons of fun.
  5. Rogue Wallets Rogue iPhone Case
Turn a shiny piece of technology into an Old World artifact with a creased leather case. Does this mean we can now refer to googling as “hunting for clues?”
  6. Nuby Bug a Loop Teether
Bring a little outdoor adventure to even the tiniest tot with this bug themed teether. Then breathe a sign of relief that junior doesn’t put real bugs in his mouth (yet).
  7. Jellycat Sebastian Snake
After “woof woof”, “sssssssssss” is my daughter’s favorite animal sound. I’ll encourage her love for the reptilian with this stuffed snake… much cuddlier than the real thing.
  8. Ladies Showstopper Tortoise Glitz Brown Dial Watch
Bear Grylls can tell time from looking at the sun’s position, but for the rest of us amateur explorers, a watch is a necessity. Michael Kors is the king of Safari Chic, and this wrist candy is no exception.
  9. LeapFrog Tag United States Map Jumbo Puzzle
Tuck this in your diaper bag for a road trip diversion. Puzzles are great, maps are great, but this one also has an electronic component that takes learning (and fun) up a notch.
  10. R&R Collections Textured Snake Full Flap Triple Gusset Wallet
Impress your kids with your snake skinning skills and tell them you made this wallet from the one that almost bit you. Impress your mom friends with your on-trend animal print style.
  11. Timberland Wallets Leather iPad Case
This weathered leather iPad case has all the character of your favorite worn-in novel, but is much more high tech. Use it to store your iPad, and any treasure maps your little ones want to keep safe.
  12. Melissa Doug Mombo Snake Bug House
If backyard adventures are more your speed, this bug house provides endless entertainment. Keep the bigger ones occupied for hours searching the grass, or the littles peering through the mesh at the catch. Just remember to free the captive bugs before tossing in your bag!
